School Updates

• Principal Stefanie Savo's goal for the year is to unify ECA's five departments into one cohesive school.

• Strong start to the school year, with successful icebreakers and integration of new students.

• The student advisory board (seniors and juniors from each discipline) will continue meeting monthly.

• Transportation costs for field trips remain a significant challenge, reinforcing the need for more fundraising.

Fundraising

• Last year's Great Give raised ~$14,526 (up from $2,000 the year before), with $10,000+ distributed as $150 gifts to graduating seniors.

• Goal for the 2027 Great Give: ~$30,000, with increased focus on local business engagement.

• A Great Give subcommittee will be formed, with planning starting by December.

• PACE will consider a "light" Giving Tuesday initiative in November, but will concentrate major fundraising efforts on the Great Give in May 2027.

Upcoming Events

• Back-to-School Night: Sept 30 at 6:30 PM — PACE will host a table to raise awareness and recruit volunteers and PACE dept leads will attend starting at 6pm.

• Open House: Nov 17 and PACE dept leads will want to be there to help answer questions.

• Annual Coffee House (open to all students) — sign-ups for performers/crew via QR code.

• All-school field trip to Yale Rep for Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, scheduled for Oct 14 or 15.

• Next PACE meeting: Oct 13 at 6 PM via the same Zoom link (standing schedule: 2nd Tuesday of the month).
